authentic photo of Billy the Kid, the most famous criminals in the Wild West era, sold for 2.3 million U.S. dollars  in an auction in Denver, USA.

The picture was bought energy entrepreneur from Florida, William Koch, the auction of Old West Auction, a special auction for items Wild West era.

Brian Lebel, the auctioneer, said he did not think the photo could be sold at a price that high. He estimates that photo sold at a price between 300,000 to 400,000 U.S. dollars only.

Lebel expressed relief that the photo does not fall into the hands of buyers outside the United States. "I love to photograph that remains in America and can be enjoyed by our communities," he said.
